The Mullen Public Schools have been established by the community for the purpose of developing efficient and responsible citizens for democratic living. The schools seek to provide those educational experiences that will assist each pupil to discover individual needs, interests and abilities and to faster develop the greatest individual potential.
The Mullen School District is a Class 3, K-12 District. It encompasses an area of 1,386.6 square miles which includes all of Hooker Country and 592 miles of two adjacent counties. Mullen's elementary consists of one grade level per teacher with a low student to teacher ratio. The high school offers a strong variety of core classes and electives for a school of it's size. Extra curricular activities include: volleyball, football, basketball, wrestling, golf, track, cheerleading, dance team, band, choir, swing choir, speech, one-act plays, FCCLA, and art club.
