Foundation
The Mullen Area Community Foundation
(MACF) was established in June of 2003 as an affiliate of
the Nebraska Community Foundation.
It was formed to give people a way to charitably support community
improvement projects in our community. In November of 2003,
the MACF received the distinction of being named the 2003 New Affiliate
of the Year.
The Nebraska
Community Foundation, headquartered in Lincoln, is a nonprofit,
charitable organization providing financial management, strategic
development and education/training services to communities, organizations
and donors throughout Nebraska since 1993. The Foundation provides
affiliated fund status (allowing communities or organizations to
achieve nonprofit charitable status without forming their own nonprofit
corporation) and strategic development assistance in approximately
175 communities throughout Nebraska.
MACF yearly dues are $35 due in
conjunction with and after our Membership Drive and Nebraska Football
bash in October. Founders dues, which help jump start
our Endowment with the entire contribution designated there, are
$1,000. Besides the general fund and the Endowment there are several
giving opportunities as sub-accounts supporting various nonprofit
groups, facilities, and projects can be continually added to the
ones we already have in place.
Any contribution over $35 is tax
deductible and as with any charity there are so many opportunities
to give in ways that benefit both our community through the Foundation
as well as yourself and family through tax deductions. |
